Saitama Prefecture is currently preparing to open the "SAITAMA Robotics Center (tentative name)" in fiscal year 2027 in a convenient location near the Ken-o Tsurugashima Interchange on the Ken-o Expressway in Tsurugashima City, located almost in the center of the prefecture. The center will support the development of "robots that contribute to solving social issues," a market that is expected to expand. The center will consist of a base facility with rental laboratories, co-working space, and indoor demonstration fields, as well as three types of outdoor demonstration fields. In addition to providing an overview of the center, we will introduce the efforts of the "Saitama Robotics Network," a robot development consortium that will accompany the center's activities.
